This is a famous coaching technique used to help people recognise the areas of their life that are most out of balance.
You will need a piece of paper and something to write with, or alternatively you can print this one off and write on that. Make sure you will not be disturbed and you don’t have to rush through the exercise.

Each wheel segment represents a different area of your life.
If you wish to rename, or even completely remove one or more segments please feel free to do so. This is your life that you are exploring and you know it better than anyone else.

On the diagram below, draw a line across each of the segments to represent how satisfied you are with that particular area of your life. The centre of the wheel will represent a score of 0 (not at all satisfied), and the outer edge will reach a score of 10 (completely satisfied).

Once you have completed your wheel you will immediately see which are your strong, and which are your weak areas. The areas that you can start working on in your coaching sessions are the one/s you are most unsatisfied with.
To get yourself started, think about what you would need to do, say, or put in place, to increase your satisfaction score.
For any goal to succeed you have to break it down into smaller manageable chunks, so don’t try to score 10 right away. Be kind to yourself and congratulate yourself for all your efforts.
